Allison Miller is the co-lead of MGT’s Education Transformation (EDX) group. As a senior vice president, she is devoting to establishing systems and structures that help facilitate effective partnerships across the organization.

Allison uses her knowledge of change management alongside her background in educational research and pedagogy to help teachers implement changes that lead to improvements in instruction and learning. Having served as an education transformation consultant for the past 15 years, Allison has had the opportunity to partner with educators at all levels- from classroom to state offices of education—helping leaders employ best practices that lead to long-term change and improved student outcomes.

Education & Career Highlights

Prior to joining MGT, Allison served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and program director. Allison is passionate about education and the role that teachers play in improving student achievement for all learners, regardless of their level of ability. Her experience in the classroom and background in structured literacy gives her a unique perspective when partnering with education agencies nationwide.

Allison is a prolific thought leader, including co-authoring Collaborative School Improvement, a broadly read book from Harvard Education Press. She chaired Harvard’s Language and Literacy student organization and currently serves as a board member for BootUp PD, a nonprofit devoted to leveling the equity playing field by empowering K-5 teachers in underserved and under-represented communities with life-changing coding and computer science curricula and skills.

Allison earned a master’s degree from the Harvard University, where her focus of study was Language and Literacy. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Anderson University.
