Anoli Patel is a Lead Improvement Specialist at Ed Direction. She works directly with school leaders in Texas to improve teaching and learning while also focusing on fostering instruction that is accessible to all students. Leveraging her founding school leadership experience, and background in teaching, she understands the daily demands on school leaders as well as teachers. With this, she focuses on building capacity in teachers and school leaders by developing their leadership and instructional skills, as well as coaching schools to implement proven strategies. Her work with teachers and school leaders includes traditional public schools and public charter schools. She understands that every school community presents reasons to celebrate and opportunities for improvement. She is passionate about change management and helping school leaders transform their schools, resulting in positive impact and change for students, teachers, families and communities.
Education & Career Highlights
Prior to joining Ed Direction, Anoli worked as a School Improvement Consultant, working with CSI (Comprehensive Support and Improvement) schools in Philadelphia, PA. Before shifting to the consulting sector, Anoli founded and led her elementary school in Los Angeles, CA. She has primarily worked as an educator in underserved communities throughout California, Tennessee and Illinois, serving TK-12th grade students in Title I public schools. A career highlight for Anoli was leading her school to become one of the top-performing charter schools in the charter school network with top student growth and achievement, as well as the highest staff culture and family engagement survey data. She believes in empathetically valuing all stakeholders, setting high expectations by giving individual support, and creating a positive community focused on impact.
Anoli earned a master’s in education from Christian Brothers University in 2014 and a bachelor’s degree in arts in 2009 (Criminology, Law and Society and African American Studies). She also holds a certificate as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and is passionate about health and wellness.
