Fernando Gottlieb is the Director of Operational Excellence at Ed Direction. Fernando creates and implements processes that increase efficiency and productivity of business unit leadership team and consulting project leads. He optimizes financial systems to ensure data accuracy and ease of access and is the go-to resource for accurate information related to P&L performance and financial forecasting. He also optimizes talent systems to ensure data accuracy and ease of access, enabling accurate accounting for project profitability and talent forecasting.
Education & Career Highlights
Prior to joining Ed Direction, Fernando spent over 20 years building, rebuilding, managing and growing Learning and Development as well as Operations departments for startups, small companies as well as large, global organizations such as BNY Mellon and Citigroup. He excels in driving operational excellence, service quality, cost-efficiency, and revenue growth, as well as crafting innovative, data-driven processes, workflows, tools, and KPIs/metrics to drive operational and cost efficiencies.
Fernando led the consolidation of 2 legacy Training organizations (BNY and Mellon), resulting in $250K in annual savings, and led project management efforts for the M&A of Mellon (14K employees) and BNY’s (30K employees) Learning and Development organizations. He also spearheaded a comprehensive organizational survey/audit that led to the successful implementation of a new PEO/HRIS system at Mutant Arm Studios, improving employee benefits and achieving cost savings of $200K+.
