Lindsey Martinez is a Program Manager at Ed Direction. She is the executive lead for the Data Fellows project in Texas where she works alongside others to help administrators build a culture of data literacy within in their districts through creation of visualizations with district data. Additionally, Lindsey works as a leader and coach directly with administrators on the ground to improve instructional practices within their buildings that will have an impact on student achievement. She works with both public and charter school leaders to help them reach their goals.

Education & Career Highlights

Before joining Ed Direction, Lindsey worked in Texas public and charter Title I schools for fourteen years as a secondary teacher, teacher leader, Assistant Principal, and Principal. She was selected to participate in Relay Graduate School of Education’s National Principal Fellowship, which focused on building Principals’ capacity in effective coaching and data conversations, including the use of the Get Better Faster framework.

Lindsey is an advocate for educational equity and believes the best way to attain it is with a relentless focus on high expectations, data-driven instruction, and quality instructional coaching. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Michigan State University and holds her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
